How cool is this! :)

Verify my RHCA status!

I bought a Nintendo Wii and 2 cases of Miller on the way home from the UK last night. Tonight i am going to party like it is 9! :)
Just thought i would show off a bit!

Happy drinking!

My Wiki!

Howdy!

I just finished setting up a MediaWiki for my personal usage. Wiki is a very nice way to keep information you need to be able to search online. I will be adding tips and tricks there, and i just created two articles on using LVM.

Hopefully i will have some time to write, and also i hope that the information found on this wiki will be useful to others as a lot of the information there is a combination of stuff i have found on the intrawebs and or learned my self when i need to catch up on some technology.

Well…laters!

Friday …yay!

Howdy!

Today i went to a IBM Tivoli Storage Manager v5.3 & v5.4 Operator exam (Prometric 000-904). I passed…..yay …so the reading for the last few days paid off.

I’ve been interested in IBM TSM for quite some time now since it seems to be a really solid product with a extremely large user base in the enterprise market. If you are taking a look at backup solutions for large environments i suggest you take a look at it.

Today i decided i would be spending my spare time this weekend on LVM2 and pvmove……I hate volume groups with 15+ physical volumes….they look bad ;) ….

Maybe i will write a small guide on how to migrate data from pv 1 to pv 2 etc etc….I would really like to start a wiki to document my doings…thats the second thing i am going to do this weekend then! :) .

Fedora 9 is due later this month, and i can hardly wait! I was trying the beta in a VM earlier this month and found out that the Evolution-Exchange dev team have finally fixed the annoying bug i was having with specific characters in my passwords would not be accepted. Now it seems it is fixed so i have no excuse for not using it then :)

Well ….maybe i will write again this weekend to point out a Wiki site for guides ….

Laters,
Finnzi
