This car was the second kit I built. It is the first straight-axles crawler I have tried out.
Currently it has the following things changed/added:
- Motor/ESC – Hobbywing Fusion Pro 2300kv
- Receiver – Flysky FS-R7P
- Tires/wheels – Proliant Hyrax G8 (4.73″) G8 / AliExpress aluminium wheels with INJORA soft silicone rubber inserts
- Steering servo – JX Servo High Voltage Aluminum Case Low Profile 40Kg running at 7.4v
- Desert Lizard 100mm shocks
I have yet to install the overdrive servo (JX Servo High Voltage Mini Servo Waterproof Core Metal Gear 4.5KG) along with a INJORA 25T Aluminum Transmission Shift Unloading Servo Arm, and finish painting the body neon pink (my 7 year old daughter got to pick out the colour!).
Currently I have the shocks setup as semi-droop. I have yet to do some more testing with it but from the looks of it I’d say it is able to flex more than any of my other rigs! Will take it out couple of times and make sure to write down how the setup ends up 🙂
